You don’t give something up for Lent just to give something up. What’s the point if you don’t strive to change your life or make sacrifices from which you’ll learn from?

YES! I agree wholeheartedly!! There are so many people who’ve asked me what I’m giving up for Lent as if it’s a requirement as a Catholic.
